Are there fonder memories of childhood pleasures than the Ho Ho. Â Yes, I know the Ding Dong too. Â As I think more about the preceding statement, it causes me to reflect on favorite childhood memories we can all relate to. Â The first snow and sledding. Â Jumping in the pool on a warm summer day. Â Playing kick the can out front with whatever neighbors were outside. Â Playing 4 square. Â Playing Home Run Derby. Â Playing outside until the sun went down or we were called in for dinner.
I am a child of the 70’s. Which makes me think of the TV shows I watched. Â The Dick Van Dyke show; Mork and Mindy, The Brady Bunch; Happy Days’ Laverne & Shirley and Bewitched to name a few.
So I saw a recipe for the Ho Ho and I adapted it into a cake for

Ho Ho Cake(Adapted from Leenes Sweet Delights):
Ingredients:
- Chocolate Devil’s Food cake mix and Yellow cake mix
Filling
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 4 cups confectioners sugar
- 2 – 3 tbsp skim milk
Chocolate Glaze
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups confectioners sugar
- 2 – 4 tbsp skim milk
