I am taking a break from my cooking for tonight’s dinner party. Tonight’s theme is Mexican and I have incorporated some vegan dishes into the night’s menu to accommodate one of my guests. I really like when people have some DIET RESTRICTIONS (not for them) but as a challenge to me to be more creative. One of the vegan dishes is a Vegan and Gluten Free Chocolate Avocado Mousse. I already tasted it and it is good. It amazes me how good my vegan chocolate creation is when I contrast it with these Easy Kahlua Brownies. These brownies are so decadent and the accent of the Kahlua is so tasty. The vegan dessert is no less decadent. I have also made Vegan Chocolate Avocado Brownies which were quite good.
My wife and I love to share a glass of wine together either before or after dinner. Not too long ago, I asked her to make me a creative after dinner drink. As a confession, she made me a Kahlua and cream. The trick is there was no cream in the drink. She used the Vanilla Almond Milk I have on hand for my morning shake recipe. I am totally in love with the combination of the Kahlua and vanilla almond milk. It is addicting, so I definitely need to limit how often I allow myself this treat!
These Easy Kahlua Brownies are truly easy to make. The brownie, or should I say fudge, has the typical ingredients including DARK brown sugar. The Kahlua is added into the wet ingredients as you would expect. It is also added into the brownie ingredients. If you think there will be too much of an alcohol taste, not at all. However, unlike a lot of recipes where the alcohol is cooked out, the Kahlua is not cooked all the way out. I may just be imagining the taste but I feel you can really taste it.
The dry ingredients, and then, the wet ingredients.
Mixing the dry ingredients followed by the mixing of the wet ingredients.
The brownies after baking followed by the preparing the ganache, and then, topping the brownies with the ganache.

I followed the instructions as written. You said to combine all dry ingredients so I did. I wasn’t aware that brown sugar isn’t dry, especially since the next step is to beat together brown sugar and eggs. And when was the stick of softened butter supposed to be incorporated? Mine turned out horrible, and I assume it’s because I had mixed the eggs, Kahlua and butter together before combining them with the dry. Please rewrite the instructions so anyone can follow it from start to finish, with success, Thanks

You are right. My instructions are wrong. I will update now. Thanks for letting me know so future readers will not have the troubles you had.
