I just got back from being out of town for the Jewish holiday and had not seen my parents in a while. Â Good reason to cook but since I got in real late last night and had a lot of work to do today, I invited them for lunch and the Chicago Bears game. Â I am a big fan. Â It is the one activity that the family always made time for from as long as I can remember. Â Every Sunday at noon, we were watching the game upstairs on our couch.
I have said before that lunch might be my favorite meal. Â Ask me again tomorrow. Â I think it is actually breakfast. Â Nonetheless, making a sandwich is an art. Â A sandwich is all about having good ingredients that combine well, as well as having good bread. Â Since my time was limited, this is truly a store bought meal but the combination is all me.
Ingredients:
- 3 slices of shaved roast beef
- 3 slices of shave turkey breast
- 2 pieces of Jarlsberg cheese
- Cole Slaw
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tbps of light mayo and spicy mustard combined
- Sourdough bread – sliced
Directions:
Drizzle one side of the bread with the olive oil and the other piece with the combined mayo spicy mustard mixture.
Layer the sandwich with the roast beef, cheese, turkey and then top with the cole slaw.
Enjoy!

Cole Slaw on sandwiches is the best thing ever. I put it on like every sandwich. This looks fantastic, great job!

Why didn’t you tell me to put it on a sandwich sooner. I love it too!
