I am giving you plenty of time to prepare for your Labor Day weekend food festivities. What makes a great holiday party? Great friends, family and great food. But the food cannot be too pretentious. After all, labor day is about grilling, about being outside.
So we begin our Labor Day offerings with drinks. The first one is suggested as a dessert? The Sangria Ice from Gastranome Tart.
The second is the more traditional but kid friend Faux Sangria from The Noshery.
How about one more drink before we move on – again kid friendly but you can change that. This Watermelon Limeaid from The Ginger Snap Girl.
So let’s move right into heartier food. I begin with Grilled Shrimp and Rosemary Skewers from Life’s Ambrosia.
Now it is time to get a little meatier. Here is Cheeseburgers with Hand-chopped Beef from a Wishful Chef.
I give you a second offering from Life’s Ambrosia – Grilled Steak with Avocado Sauce.
Since we are on a roll with Life’s Ambrosia, why stop now. This is the perfect side – Grilled Potatoes with Chive Sauce.
It is time to move into dessert. This looks pretty American. A Red, White & Blue Cake from Recipe Girl.
Next, why don’t we try a Fruit Flag Pizza from Quick Dish.
Very nice round up Peter! Appreciate the feature of my Watermelon Limeaid. I guess I should start planning my Labor Day menu. It will be here in no time. Have a great holiday!
